Diocesan website garners thousands of hits
According to statistics just released by the diocesan Information Resources Office, visitors spend the most time viewing the web pages of parishes and diocesan offices, and also enjoy browsing through the extensive collection of Catholic links.
Rcda.org is visited over 1,000 times each day, with the average time spent viewing the site in November being 45 minutes.

Visitors often look at the "What's New" link on the main page, which connects the user to a list of recent updates and additions to the site. Of current interest to Catholics is a direct link to the Albany Diocese's official clergy sexual misconduct policy, which details the Diocese's approach to and process for addressing such allegations.Visitors can also access information about the holdings in the diocesan Video and Resource Center, operated by the Office of Evangelization and Catechesis. From abortion and abuse to theology and war, the videos available on loan are useful in contexts from children's religious education to faith formation for adults.

Dates and times
Another feature of the site is the calendar of events, which connects Catholics with Diocesan happenings. A link to the calendar, which lists classes, public events and special gatherings, is located at the bottom of each page.According to the Information Resources Office, developments in store for the site include areas devoted to the Bishop's Appeal and small pages for each parish of the Diocese, containing a brief description, pictures and general Mass schedules.
