"Margaret lives her message with her very being," Mrs. Pickel said. "Her life is filled with uncertainty; but through her deep spirituality, she has been able to come to terms with that. Her message has a lot of meaning for many of us."
Mrs. Pickel initiated the diocesan adult faith formation teams program last year as a follow-up to the U.S. bishops' statement, "Our Hearts Were Burning Within Us," which was a call for ongoing faith formation and renewal among the laity.
