BISHOP'S LETTER
Collection supports communication
The Catholic Communication Campaign, in partnership with our diocesan Communications Office, has been the Church's voice in the media: educating, entertaining, inspiring and informing the public about Gospel values. The Catholic Communication Campaign plays an important role in our society. It merits our continued support.
This year's Catholic Communication Campaign collection has the theme, "How the Good News Gets Around...TO YOU!" The collection will be taken up in churches throughout our Diocese June 16-17. This is the only national collection in which 50 percent of each donation will be used by our Diocese for local programming and projects.
Among the many projects the Catholic Communication Campaign funds, we in the Diocese of Albany benefit with assistance in the production and broadcasting of each week's Sunday liturgy on "Table of the Lord." Other funds raised help support the Catholic Communication Campaign's national projects that include information posted daily on the internet, including Scripture readings, movie reviews, Catholic radio, television and podcasts. All of this is done in the continued efforts to assist in the evangelization and education of the Catholic faithful. We have links to important statements from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops on the USCCB website, www.usccb.org.
With your assistance, the Catholic Communication Campaign will continue to proclaim the Good News each and every day.
Thank you.
Faithfully yours in Christ,
Howard J. Hubbard
