Catholics to gather at Parish Convening
Hundreds of Catholics from the Albany Diocese will gather at LaSalle Institute in Troy on Oct. 30 for the 2004 Parish Convening, a day of prayer, learning and reflection.
The theme is "Go...Share the Good News." The keynoter is Carole Eipers, executive director of catechetics for William H. Sadlier, Inc.
On this page, three of the workshops are previewed, but there are dozens of others on such topics as liturgical music, the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Albany, Scripture, family life, evangelization, bereavement ministry, Catholic schools and storytelling.
Registrations are due by Oct. 20. Call 453-6661 for information, or visit www.rcda.org and follow the links under "calendar of events." The cost is $18/person.
