• Albany's Academy of the Holy Names just welcomed six students from China, launching an international student program. The freshmen and sophomores will remain at AHN for the duration of their high school education, living with host families. The students hope to be accepted into top American colleges and universities. AHN will welcome additional students from China in September.
• The College of Saint Rose in Albany now offers a program of study for students raised in Spanish-speaking homes who want to turn their heritage into job skills. The Certificate for Heritage Speakers of Spanish is a 15-credit program to boost speaking and writing proficiency for employment. • The deadline is Feb. 1 for the "Try Prayer! It Works!" Contest sponsored by Family Rosary.
