Bishop to lead televised retreat
"Disciples, Together in Faith" is the title of the three half-hours, which will air April 10-12 at 8 p.m. on WNYT, channel 13 in Albany; WBGH, channel 8 in Binghamton; and WKTV, channel 2, in Utica. The use of the three channels ensures coverage of the 14-county Diocese.
The Bishop's portion of the retreat will be videotaped at St. Paul's Church in Troy, the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Albany and Annunciation parish in Ilion. In addition, there will be "video parables," which will be inserted into his talk to illustrate his points. Videotaped in many locations, these will highlight individual Catholics who are living out their faith in ways the Bishop discusses.
Twenty years ago, Bishop Hubbard hosted televised retreats that proved very popular with viewers.
Additional details about "Disciples, Together in Faith" will appear in future issues of The Evangelist.
