Betty Benintende

A funeral Mass was offered June 4 at St. John the Baptist Church, Walton, for Betty Benintende, who died May 31. She was 86.

A native of Walton, she had been an election inspector, S&H Green Stamp redemption center manager, remedial reading teacher and more there. Survivors include her children, Marie Roenelt of Stockholm, N.J.; Isabelle Caratelli of Unadilla; Rev. Joseph Benintende, pastor emeritus of St. Mary's parish in Oneonta; Charles of Wilmington, Del.; and Pastor Michael of McKeesport, Pa.; two siblings; 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
