On June 19, the feast of Corpus Christi, archdioceses and dioceses across the U.S. will hold Eucharistic processions to launch the revival, which will culminate in the National Eucharistic Congress in 2024. In the Diocese of Albany, that celebration will include a procession in Albany and Hudson after Sunday morning Masses.

At the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception

125 Eagle Street

Mass begins at 11 a.m.

Eucharistic Procession follow around the Cathedral, down Eagle Street to Madison, then back to the Cathedral

At St. Mary’s Church

429 E. Allen St.

Mass begins at 9 a.m.

Eucharistic Procession follows Mass from St. Mary’s, down Main Street, stopping at the Ukrainian Catholic Church for prayers, then returning to St Mary’s.

Corpus Christi honors the Catholic belief that Jesus Christ is truly present in the Eucharist. The host is consecrated during the Mass, becoming the Body of Christ. The solemn procession after Mass is a public witness of Catholic faith and devotion to the sacrament of the Eucharist.
