Two parishes in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany will be offering the Sacrament of Reconciliation for 24 hours straight Friday, April 12, into Saturday, April 13.

St. Mary’s Church of Holy Trinity Parish, 429 E. Allen St., Hudson, will offer the Sacrament of Reconciliation from 8 a.m. Friday until 8 a.m. Saturday. Bishop Edward B. Scharfenberger will hear confessions from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, joining priests from throughout Greene and Columbia counties for 24 Hours of Mercy. St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 2216 Rosa Road, Schenectady, will offer the Sacrament of Reconciliation from 9 a.m. Friday through 9 a.m. Saturday. Father Bob Longobucco, pastor, will be the only priest in this confession marathon, known as 24 Hours for the Lord, that has become an annual tradition at the parish.
