A funeral Mass was offered Oct. 31 in the chapel of the Convent of Mercy, Albany, for Sister Jane McCullough, who died Oct. 28. She had been a Sister of Mercy for 67 years.

A native of Albany, she at various schools in the Diocese, including St. Joseph's and Vincentian Institute, Albany; Catholic Central High School, Troy; and Maria College, Albany, where she also served as director of admissions. She was a beloved teacher and principal at Blessed Sacrament School in Albany. She also served at Our Lady of Victory parish in Troy as a pastoral minister.

Known for her enjoyment of facilitating Scripture groups and visiting the homebound and hospitalized, Sister Jane was gentle and deeply prayerful. She served as director of postulants, nurturing young sisters' vocations, and was retreat director at Our Lady of Peace Spiritual Life Center in Narragansett, R.I., and chaplain at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center, Albany.

Interment was in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush.
