Are you ready to be enriched?

The Vicariate for Catholic Faith Formation and Education is sponsoring “Spring Faith Formation Day — Come and Be Enriched” on Wednesday, May 15, at the College of Saint Rose.

“It’s kind of like a mini-spring enrichment. We are going to do it in one day, but because of that, we have the best speakers who talk about the topics that matter to you the most,” said Father Bob Longobucco, Vicar, Office of Faith Formation. “At this time it’s so important to have Catechists who fall in love with their faith, who want to grow in their faith … the people who want to fully know what Jesus Christ’s mission really is and share it with the world.”

The keynote speaker is Dr. Thomas Groome, a professor of theology and religious education in the School of Theology and Ministry at Boston College, who also chairs the school’s Department of Religious Education and Pastoral Ministry. Groome is an author who has written several books, including “Christian Religious Education” and “What Makes us Catholic.”

But the day really is for Catholic school educators and administrators, parish catechetical and youth ministry leaders, and parish catechists, those in other ministries and parishioners.

David Amico, the director of the Office of Lay Ministry and Parish Faith Formation, stresses that anyone, especially parishioners, can attend and learn from the numerous workshops.

Cost is $10 per session with a $40 maximum and the cost for diocesan school personnel is covered by the Catholic School Office.

You can register online at rcda.org, registration has been extended to May 13, or call 518-453-6670 for more information.
