A sea of pink filled the hallways at Christian Brothers Academy as students, faculty and staff “dressed down” in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month by wearing special “Real Brothers Wear Pink” T-shirts last week. All funds raised on the dress-down day by #TEAMCamelot will be donated to the American Cancer Society’s Real Men Wear Pink Campaign to fund patient services and groundbreaking research.

CBA alumnus and local business owner Giovanni Lisi ’16 spoke about his personal experience when he lost his mother to breast cancer in 2015. He recalled the overwhelming support he received from his fellow CBA classmates and teachers who showed up in two packed buses at his mother’s funeral. Lisi also encouraged students to not take life for granted and supported them in the fight to end breast cancer. This is CBA’s fourth consecutive year running the “Real Brothers Wear Pink” campaign and they have raised more than $12,000 for #TEAMCamelot and the American Cancer Society.
