Hannah Carter is a recent graduate of St. Mary’s School in Ballston Spa. Carter and her family joined the St. Mary’s School community when she was in kindergarten. For the fifth-grade graduation Mass, Carter’s teachers and principal thought she would be the perfect one to share a reflection of what her time at St. Mary’s has meant to her.

The following is Hannah’s reflection:

“Family is a strong word and to me it means people who care for each other. As a class we have grown together as a family. We are a family that is supportive, caring and kind. Whenever I faced a challenge that felt like a rock in the way of my path, there was always someone there to help me see beyond the rock with their faith and compassion. St. Mary’s teachers have taught us to love, care and respect each other. We thank our teachers and all who have helped us grow. As we graduate from St. Mary’s School we will never say goodbye, we will just say, ‘see you later.’ Our faith and friendship will continue to hold a special place in our hearts. “

We know Hannah and all her classmates will do well in their next stage of life, as their time at St. Mary’s School has given them a strong foundation and prepared them spiritually, academically and socially.
