Bishop Maginn High School’s Youth Philanthropy Council (YPC) is accepting grant applications from non-profit organizations that serve Albany County. Nonprofits may request up to $2,500 for projects that focus on either health, education, arts or poverty relief. The deadline to apply is May 23.

The Bishop Maginn Youth Philanthropy Council (shown in the photo) formed this year, thanks to a grant from the Diocese of Albany's Higher Power Learning program. YPC teaches young people about philanthropy, community needs, root causes of those needs, and the complexity of solving real-world problems. The program gives council members the chance to use their own voice to make a difference. Council members will review all applications and grants will be awarded at a ceremony on June 27.

To apply for the YPC grant, visit bishopmaginn.org and download the grant application. For more information, please email rbliss@bishopmaginn.org.
