BISHOP EDWARD B. SCHAR­FENBERGER will fill in for REV. DANIEL QUINN at St. Paul's parish in Hancock Jan. 27-28. He'll hear confessions at 3 p.m. Jan. 27, celebrate the 4 p.m. Mass that day and the 9 a.m. Mass Jan. 28 and attend a potluck supper and conversation about the book "Why We're Catholic" by TRENT HORN, facilitated by CHARLENE CARAMORE and KRISTY WHITE....

Youth at St. Edward the Confessor parish in Clifton Park in grades seven-12 interested in participating in service can contact DAVE STAGLIANO. Opportunities include parish work, outreach to senior citizens, assisting at the Regional Food Bank, serving a meal and more. There will also be a day of fun Feb. 22 with food, games and door prizes. Also at St. Edward's, the parish is sponsoring an adult cabin fever party Feb. 9, 6-10 p.m., with food, drinks, entertainment and trivia. The cost is $10. St. Edward's also hopes to offer weekly Lenten reflections on Scripture readings or a part of Lent to which parishioners feel called; to contribute, parishioners can contact andrew.sutton@stedwardsny.org....

At Immaculate Conception parish in Glenville, there are three new altar servers: ETHAN DELNICK, CHRISTOPHER GILLETTE and DAVID SULLIVAN. TOM BIGOS chairs the altar server ministry....

SISTER TERESA GRACE BAILLARGEON, CR, visited Holy Spirit School in East Greenbush to share her vocation story, answer questions from students, discuss sports and forgiveness. She also shared with the Coffee and Catholicism group. Holy Spirit's youth ministry will do another room makeover service project at Hubbard House in Albany this spring....

At St. Mary's/St. Alphonsus School in Glens Falls, MRS. OGDEN'S world language classes used math and Spanish skills to create and label a floor plan for their dream house. Fourth-graders took a "brain break" from learning long division, dancing to a math-themed video.
