Immaculate Conception parish in Glenville reported that its vacation Bible school, led by CHRISTINE GOSS, drew nearly 100 children from area churches. The theme was, "Hero Central: Discover Your Strength in God!" Kids heard Bible stories about Samuel anointing David, St. Abigail, Jesus going to the temple, the Beatitudes and Pentecost to learn that heroes have heart, courage, wisdom, hope and the power to be good -- and that they can be heroes.
