Our Lady of Grace parish in Ballston Lake published information on its bell tower. Located on the church’s front lawn, the bell was given to the parish by MICHAEL MCTIGUE of New York City, the world’s lightweight champion in 1923 and lightweight champ in Dublin, Ireland. The bell weighs 400 pounds; crafted by Meneely and Company of Watervliet, it has a perfect E flat tone. JOE SANTARCANGELO, PETE SARTO and ART CHEVALIER removed the bell from the old church to its present site. DAVE SCHULTZ supervised the construction of the REV. DANIEL P. HOGAN memorial bell tower in which the bell now sits....
