St. Adalbert’s parish in Schen­ectady is bringing back a tradition: On April 21-22, there will be a “eucharistic observance weekend” to celebrate the feast of the parish patron, St. Adalbert of Prague. On April 21, the church will be open noon-4 p.m. for prayer and adoration, with a 4 p.m. Mass; on April 22, the church will be open 9-10:30 a.m. for prayer and adoration (with no 9 a.m. Mass) and a 10:30 a.m. Mass in English and Polish, concluding with a eucharistic procession and benediction. Young people and all altar servers are asked to participate in the procession....

Immaculate Conception parish in Hoosick Falls had its annual contest to see who could guess when the first flock of turkey vultures would come home to the area. They arrived on March 1, meaning LOUISE CIUK won a plush buzzard; $43 was raised through the contest to buy bat, bluebird and wren houses for the area.
